ACCESS Health to present India findings at the global dissemination of a multi country study on modeled evidence for decision-making

ACCESS Health International, associate partner of InOrder recently completed a study on “Translating Modeled evidence for decision-making” in India. Funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the study is part of a larger multi-country study led by Results for Development (R4D) in partnership with country-based organizations/research institutions in India, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, and Kenya. ACCESS Health is the research partner in India.

The results and findings of the study will be disseminated through a webinar on October 12, 2022, 5:30 PM IST. The India results will be presented by Mr. Maulik Chokshi, the Principal Investigator from India and the Deputy Country Director (Technical) at ACCESS Health International. Country experiences from Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Kenya will also be shared and discussed by global experts.

This webinar is open to anyone already working in or with modeled evidence, funders of modeling projects, or decision-makers and partners curious about what opportunities modeled evidence may provide them. Please register for the webinar here.

Between October 2021 and June 2022, a consortium of partners conducted a study to four countries to understand better how to bridge the gap between the production of modeled evidence and its use for policy and decision-making.

The findings from Nigeria will be presented by the Health Policy Research Group (HPRG) and those from Burkina Faso will be presented by the Nouna Health Research Center (CRSN). The guest speaker from Kenya based KEMRI-Wellcome Trust will present findings from Kenya

The India study had an illustrious panel of advisors namely, Dr K Madan Gopal, Senior Consultant Health, NITI Aayog, Air Commodore (Dr.) Ranjan Kumar Choudhury VSM and Prof Sarang Deo from Indian School of Business.
